Mackinnon Bruce International are partnered with an innovative biotechnology company with specialised abilities and focus surrounding In Vitro models to provide researchers with new technologies designed to give a more precise prediction of human responses. They are currently looking for a Business Development Executive to join their team on the East Coast.


 Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing the organisation and engaging with their customers across the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and academic sector. The Business Development Executive is further responsible for driving sales revenue and building relationships at the decision-making and scientific levels of customer organisations, creating plans for them to utilise the products and services available.


The Business Development Executive will be responsible for:

  • Managing the relationships and communication with key business accounts
  • Being knowledgeable of business models of current and potential accounts to highlight how the organisation's products and services can add value
  • Generating revenue by building and closing a pipeline of orders
  • Working closely with other business functions of the organisations such as Marketing and R&D
  • Strengthening relationship reach within accounts
  • Ensuring clarity of order conversion to revenue


Requirements

As a general requirement we are looking for candidates with proven sales experiences within the Life Sciences space, with 5-7 years' experience in a relevant sales post. The candidate would also have a strong scientific background, with at least a bachelor's degree (Advanced degree is preferred), with a good understanding of cell biology, microfluidics, neuronal diseases, cancer biology and inflammation. Furthermore, a proven track record of successful sales in the Biopharma and Academic sectors and a strong understanding of drug development processes involving small and large molecules are also desired.
