Job description
Goffa International designs and manufactures stuffed animals for our customers worldwide.
You will manage daily operations by executing HR policies and procedures, initiating resource planning and recruitment and maintaining interdepartmental communication. The ideal candidate will also assist in planning and implementing various training programs, take care of payroll and handle employee relations and exit procedures.
Responsibilities
- The Human Resources Manager is responsible for directing the planning, development, implementation, administration, and budgeting of most or all of the Human Resources functions, including but not limited to the following: employment, recruitment, employee relations, EEO, Visa processing (H1B), compensation/benefits, and organizational development. Develop and drive creative HR initiatives and activities. Advise company management in Human Resources policy and program matters.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Overseeing and managing the Human Resource department; planning, organizing, and controlling all activities of the department
- Developing and administering various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel in both New Jersey and Texas; participating in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
- Maintains a working knowledge of federal, state and local laws and regulations related to the Human Resources function including, but not limited to the FLSA, ADA, NLRA, FMLA, OSHA, ACA, ERISA/COBRA, HIPAA, Civil Rights Act of 1964, and provide executive team with consultation accordingly
- Establishing and maintaining department records and reports; recommending new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed
- Keeps abreast of HR trends, best practices, and technology solutions
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
- Bi-lingual skills (English/Spanish) preferred
- SHRM/HRCI certification strongly recommended
- A minimum of 10 years related HR experience, at least 5 of these years in a management role
- Broad generalist background including coaching and counseling, performance management, employee involvement, teambuilding, as well as compensation and benefits
