Honeydew Cosmetic Production Labs
Farmingdale, New Jersey
Our cosmetic manufacturing plant hopes to find a qualified applicant to fill the open position of Lab/Quality Technician. We're looking for a creative thinker to share his or her ideas and help implement new strategies to benefit the business. Responsibilities
● Calibrate, maintain and perform testing using lab equipment such as pH meter, thermometer, viscometer
● Oversee product sampling, R&D samples, data analysis, and retains
● Oversee and conduct stability testing and reporting
● Document and edit QMS SOP's
● Document and maintain lab SOP's
● Maintain log books, COA/SDS and perform monthly inspection audits
● Handle QC Testing and maintain retains for new raw materials
● Perform QC inspections of production lines, compounding, pallet inspections, process/retain logs from production as needed to assist Quality Inspectors
● Record nonconformities and issue corrective actions
● Monitor change-over procedures to quantify/clarify waste per change-over
● Document and maintain disposal(s)
● Ensure Lab is conducting refresher training to assure proper use of all equipment
● Conduct daily temp/humidity monitoring
● Conduct USP water sampling and maintain log
● Maintain raw material & Bulk formula product specifications
● Maintain Registry of Complaints for Vendors/Suppliers
● Work with Quality Manager to create and maintain Approved Supplier/Vendor list
● Comply with GMP guidelines and work within SOP parameters
● Responsible for cleanliness and organization of the laboratory
● Report issues to upper management
● Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
● Requires basic math and computer skills
● Knowledge of Microsoft Office
● Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
● 1+ years' experience in a laboratory environment
