DESCRIPTION
The Corporate Communications - Social Media Manager will contribute to and strengthen the development, implementation, quality and strategy behind *** Corporation's Social Media communication and related activities that help convey key corporate messages and engage with followers of our primary social media channels.
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years' experience in Social Media or related Corporate Communications activities
Experience navigating within a large, matrix organization where collaboration with global, regional, or remote teams is required
Experience in the Chemical industry is helpful but not required
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Political Science, or related field.
Exceptional interpersonal and writing skills to represent the *** brand with key internal and external stakeholders.
Will serve as a strategic thinker with a meticulous attention to detail, working well with others and meeting deadlines, will multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Will solve complex problems/issues thoughtfully, strategically and under pressure.
Will utilize current understanding of media trends and technology - constantly looking for ways to improve processes and bring creative ideas forward.
Will serve as a problem solver who is skilled in adapting to changing circumstances within a busy environment.
Will use social media savvy to drive the evolution of a brand's social presence forward in a positive and strategic way.
Will work as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously. Will collaborate with internal stakeholders to generate content and ideas in line with the company's strategy and in support of various corporate initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Core activities:
Content planning, monitoring, and management for *** Corporation's North American social media channels:
o Facebook: @***NorthAmerica
o Instagram: @***_na
o Twitter: @***Corporation
o LinkedIn: @*** (NA-specific
Coordination with *** Global Team on content planning, monitoring, and management for *** global social media channels:
o LinkedIn: @***
o YouTube: @***
Edit and/or post content on behalf of business units, others
Amplify and engage with content from industry associations, partners, events, customers, etc.
Upload YouTube videos for business units, others
Assist executives, other colleagues with urgent issues or questions on their social media pages
Monitor comments and messages across *** channels. If a response is warranted, collaborate with relevant colleagues to craft an approved message.
Monitor the daily Media Brief and ensure adequate, accurate social media coverage
Attend alignment call with other *** channel managers; coordinate with global social media colleagues on current/upcoming high-impact topics.
Update NA Social Media Managers via MS Teams on any upcoming topics from regional, global channels
Collect and tally metrics for Facebook, Twitter; Share metrics specific to engagement for media monitoring report
Provide support for CEO, other executives' social media pages (typically LinkedIn). Pending their preference, support may take the form of monthly reports, quarterly presentations, amplification via corporate channels, etc.
Provide feedback on posts drafted by colleagues from business units, functions, etc.
Provide guidance to colleagues regarding best practices, high-impact topics, paid and organic campaigns, and other topics
Amplify *** content on employee engagement tool, Smarp, to further the reach of strategic content
Read ***-relevant news and anticipate possible implications on social media
Stay up to date on social media trends and changes
