Position Overview
The HR Generalist at our Freehold manufacturing site is responsible for supporting day-to-day Human Resources operations in a non-union plant. Responsibilities include partnering with client groups to ensure HR practices and programs are adding value specifically in areas of employee relations, compensation, benefits, communication, staffing, legal compliance, organizational development and training. Strong emphasis on employee relations. Our ideal candidate is a good influencer of people and must be able to push back at times to get things done. This position reports to the VP Human Resources.
Essential Job Functions
* Responsible for the recruitment and staffing of all level positions, especially hourly roles
* Thorough knowledge transfer and coaching, assist client group to acquire skills and knowledge for effectively handling and resolving employees' issues
* Ensures adequate training in the areas of new employee orientation, management training, benefits etc.
* Provide advice, guidance and assistance to all management and supervisory staff on interpretation and administration of personnel policies and programs.
* Provides policy and procedure explanation and employee benefits information to newly hired employees and current employees, as necessary
* Administers coaching/ counseling and/ discipline as appropriate. Maintains a positive and effective relationship with the workforce in an effort to accomplish business goals.
* Administer the attendance programs for hourly employees and assist with leave administration for all employees
* Assist in the roll-out of various HR based programs and initiatives

* Ensure compliance is strictly adhered to with regards to all relevant human resources related legislation
* Perform a variety of administrative duties as needed in support of site HR initiatives
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree (or higher) required; Professional Certification a plus
* Minimum 3 years as a Human Resources Generalist w/experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
* Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs
* Knowledge in FMLA/ADA/AAP/EEOC/FLSA/HIPPA and other labor laws
* Detail oriented with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, complexity and work within a fast paced, dynamic environment.
* Proficient with Microsoft applications. including Excel
* Knowledge of the industry's compliance standards and regulations (e.g. EEO, FLSA, ADA and OFCCP) is an asset
* Demonstrates ability to deliver results, gain consensus and alignment while maintaining integrity and confidentiality.
* Ability to thrive in an environment of ambiguity and change with opportunity to act in an autonomous manner.
