The role is focused on identifying and exploring opportunities to shape the organization's digital strategy, and deliver value to DTCC and our customers by co-creating, developing, and re-designing products and services through iterative and rapid proofing to reduce time and cost to market. The Innovation Strategy & Design Manager will contribute to generation of ideas to re-imagine processes and market behaviors and apply critical thinking and design framework to work with internal and external clients to gather concrete business requirements. The role also consists of converting high priority opportunities into business concept documents and perform opportunity assessments, making recommendation on next steps, as well as defining and managing plans to execute rapid proofing opportunities and detailed opportunity assessments. The candidate will collaborate with the Technology Research & Innovation team, internal stakeholders, and clients to validate opportunities.
Your Responsibilities:
Monitor the fintech landscape, and capture key insights on industry trends and customer intelligence with respect to emerging technology/innovations to inform on the ideation and opportunity assessment process
Develop subject matter expertise in relevant business areas to assess new opportunities more effectively
Manage ideation and opportunity assessment process end to end. Facilitate assessment of ideas/opportunities and document the big idea, stakeholders, client/industry pain points or challenges, future state vision, ecosystem map, relevant industry initiatives/developments, and other notable elements of the product/service/business model development
Apply critical thinking skills to re-imagine product/services and/or new business models, and develop hypotheses for validation
Participate in and lead discussions with internal stakeholders, clients and potential third-parties/partners to drill into key concepts of the product design and emerge with a well-articulated assessment of the opportunity and the value proposition to DTCC, the client, and the industry
Manage and execute POC/Pilot/Prototype initiatives, bringing new ideas to life through rapid proofing tools, from beginning to successful delivery, in collaboration with the Technology Research & Innovation team as well as other key stakeholders as applicable
Oversee the project management of initiatives, managing all aspects leveraging internal tools and frameworks to provide transparency into initiatives as part of the overall book of work
Assist in the prioritization of the innovation portfolio, and help manage the transparency and communication of the portfolio across the organization
Manage overall project budget for opportunities, including any third-party costs
Drive the continued development of the team's capabilities to accurately track and report project outcomes, monitor emerging technologies, and educate DTCC teams internally
Author market research and thought leadership material and communicate key messaging to internal stakeholders, including senior leadership within DTCC's Innovation Forum
Organize topical discussions and agenda items for the Innovation Forum monthly meetings, including developing presentation materials
Partner with Marketing & Communications, Sales & Relationship Management, Innovation Council, Technology Research & Innovation, and key Business stakeholders to promote internal education & collaboration on emerging innovations and technology

Talents Needed For Success:
Minimum of 7 years of related experience
Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience
Interest and experience in emerging technologies, innovation and digital strategy preferred
General knowledge base of capital markets and market structure, back and middle-office processes across post-trade market participants
Continuous learner
Proven analytical skills and problem-solving ability paired with meticulous attention to detail
Aptitude for logically breaking down complex problems and communicating solutions with clarity
