Job description

The Consumer Loan Operations team is responsible for the settlement and loan life cycle events related to Jefferies' purchase of consumer loans from various lending platforms. Consumer lending is a category of financing centered on individuals, families, and small businesses - separate and distinct from institutional/commercial lending. As a member of the Consumer Loan Operations team, your responsibilities would include but are not limited to:

  • Arranging the funding, purchase, and settlement of consumer loans
  • Reconciling settled consumer loan positions
  • Reconciling cash related to purchases, loan repayments, fees, etc.
  • Processing business activity into Loan IQ
  • Assisting product controllers with the accurate capture of details into the General Ledger
  • Coordinating between Capital Markets, Product Control, Loan Servicers, Origination Banks, and any other involved parties
  • Calculating true up payments needed due to timing differences from portfolio transfers
  • Serving as a Business Analyst for Consumer Loans related enhancements
  • Build out Alteryx infrastructure or Excel macros in order to automate manual processes
  • Ad-hoc tasks as needed related to business activity


Qualifications


Strong attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, strong Excel skills (especially Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP), experience with Alteryx, team player, proven ability as a self-starter, ability to think quickly under pressure


Minimum GPA/Major Considerations: 3.0+ and Math/Engineering/Finance/Economics background (open to others for the right candidate)
