Job description

Overview:
Responsible for effective financial regulatory reporting operations for the US bank holding company, including the production of high quality financial regulatory reports, maintenance of an effective regulatory reporting platform, and an internal control framework designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of regulatory reporting, and ensure the compliance to applicable US regulatory reporting requirements. The individual will be involved in the preparation and review of BHC and CUSO regulatory reports. Acting as a subject matter expert ensuring proper compliance to various regulatory reporting standards from supervisory agencies is critical for this position.

Responsibilities:
Oversees the preparation and review of FR Y-9C, FFIEC 009, and other applicable reports including performing related substantiation and variance analysis.

Interact and work with the data providers within the firm to ensure integrity of data.

Continue to improve the process control effectiveness of the FR Y-9C regulatory reports.
Maintain and update EUC procedure and inventory list and the desk procedures manual to reflect changes in regulatory requirements.

Ensure accurate and timely completion of all regulatory reports.

Support/participate in regulatory reporting examinations, internal and external audits.

Actively participate/manage the ongoing FR Y-9C and FFIEC 009 reports preparation projects.

Responsible to work with other various departments to support BHC regulatory reports enhancement projects and collaborate in end user testing.

Keeping abreast of the regulatory changes related to regulations that is impacting BHC regulatory reports.

Perform impact analysis for new products as applicable to the regulatory reports

Qualifications:
Experience/Knowledge Requirements

Strong knowledge of BHC / IHC reporting (e.g. FR Y-9C reports) regulatory reporting requirements and report preparation

Minimum of 7 - 10 years knowledge and experience in the preparation of regulatory reports of financial institutions

Strong knowledge on financial products such derivatives, repo, securities, loans and leases

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Knowledge of internal control frameworks

Excellent interpersonal skills

Good analytical skills

Required Skills/Abilities

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

CPA or CFA is a big plus.

Team- oriented, ability to be proactive in raising concerns, and escalate problems as needed.

Strong analytical skills

Proficiency in Alteryx or Power BI is preferred.
