Description:

• Looking for a strong communicator, an excellent writer, someone who can work effectively across a range of internal teams, has strong media/press or reputation management experience and is comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• This position will have responsibility for overseeing the PR strategy

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop, present and execute strategic and tactical communications/public relations campaigns that drive business outcomes globally.
• Develop and edit press releases, development of media briefs, proactive media monitoring.
• Execution of Group PR strategy as outlined by firm; proactive pitching and targeting at the target insurance trade level.
• Execute on external visibility planning for divisional and key leadership across global divisions.
• Serve as trusted advisor by providing ongoing external communications counsel and support to business leadership.
• Serve as a strategic communications advisor to business leadership by tracking key issues, analyzing potential media implications, and developing key messages in coordination with business communicators.
• Monitor and analyze industry and competitive trends that impact the businesses. Recommend and implement action plans.

Work Experience and Qualifications

• BA/MBA in public relations, journalism or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Superior writing, editing and organizational skills.
• Proven experience in proactive and reactive/issues management media. relations, and proactively executing public relations campaigns that resulted in positive press coverage and support business results.
• 8+ years working in financial services/insurance industry a plus.
