Who we are:

The Volvo Aftersales team, based at corporate headquarters in Mahwah, New Jersey, is responsible for driving parts sales, supporting the servicing of Volvo vehicles, and fostering a premium customer experience throughout vehicle ownership. We also focus on increasing customer retention by delivering trust, value, and convenience in every interaction.

How you can contribute:

The Senior Parts Business Development Specialist's main responsibility is to grow parts revenue through:

  • Developing our mechanical wholesale parts business
  • Increasing our share of OEM collision parts and
  • Growing our E-Commerce, business-to-consumer, parts, and accessory sales platforms.


The Senior Parts Business Development Specialist is the business lead working with our supplier partners to optimize systems and offers to drive sales through these channels. You will also work collaboratively with our field organization to drive retailer engagement with our various parts sales solutions.

Your focus on driving revenue through the development and implementation of new concepts, programs and business opportunities will help sustain the growth of Volvo Cars.

Position responsibilities include:
  • Working directly with retailers on system setup and strategies to drive higher conversions.
  • Sourcing new business solutions to help grow these channels.
  • Reporting on key business trends to drive awareness of, and engagement with, these channels.
  • Analyzing performance reporting to identify opportunities to grow sales and build program engagement.
  • Working with data to optimize incentive strategies.
  • Aligning, coordinating, and supporting regional Aftersales field representatives.
  • Developing retailer training and communications around the solutions you lead.
  • Delivering high quality communications related to department projects.
  • Advocating for the Volvo Cars brand and Aftersales to ensure initiatives are championed and executed.

Key Competencies:
  • Bachelor's degree required (graduate degree a plus)
  • Prior work experience around automotive aftersales preferred, but not required
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks through structured project planning
  • Experience working with data analytics to find business opportunities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate complex topics at the right level of detail
  • The confidence and desire to drive tasks to completion with minimal oversight
  • Microsoft Office proficiency with exceptional understanding of Excel and PowerPoint
