Job description

We are seeking a professional Leasing Manager who is focused on driving results, providing a high-level of service and exceeding expectations! The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the leasing and resident retention activities for the property.


Leasing Manager Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Meet and exceed occupancy targets set by management.
  • Motivate and coach leasing consultants to hit goals. Build a strong and impactful leasing team.
  • Assist in developing and implementing leasing plans.
  • Walk and inspect "show units" and tour path on a weekly basis (minimum) to ensure the property meets curb appeal standards.
  • Responsible for completing leasing and marketing traffic reports on a weekly basis.
  • Review prospect activity with leasing consultants daily.
  • Conduct weekly leasing meetings with leasing consultant team. Bring creative ideas to meeting. Report on meetings to management.
  • Handle initial resident concerns. Escalate to property manager as needed.
  • Meet with Property Manager as needed to review leasing consultant's performance.
  • Ensure incoming residents have a five-star experience. Bring creative ideas to enhancing experience.
  • Follow-up with maintenance on unit inspections prior to -move-in. Coordinate with Maintenance Coordinator and Property Manager as needed.
  • Coordinate with Leasing & Training Manager to provide training, instruction and support to leasing consultants.
  • Maintain understanding of the market/competitors by completing bi-weekly market surveys.
  • Provide ideas for resident retention programs.
  • Possess overall responsibility for ensuring lease applications are processed timely and correctly.
  • Ensure marketing collateral is up-to-date and marketing kits and move-in kits are fully stocked.
  • Complete and assist team with consistent and exemplary completion of resident retention calls and communication.


Requirements:

  • Our ideal candidate must be a creative thinker, as well as detail-oriented, highly organized, and flexible
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and handle the pressures of fast-paced customer service role - ability to maintain a positive influence a plus!
  • Comfortability with setting, monitoring and achieving sales targets
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with residents and prospects
  • Ability to effectively implement the goals and objectives of the company


Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred
  • Valid Driver's License and vehicle
  • Technically proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and other computer / software systems
  • Flexibility with hours and days worked including weekend availability (up to 2 weekends per month)
  • A stable, progressive work history and 3+ years' experience in leasing/property management/sales/hospitality preferred
