Humanity Burlington and Mercer Counties is seeking to hire to hire for the position of the Volunteer Coordinator.

The Volunteer Coordinator helps meet our mission by managing all aspects of the Volunteer program. The Volunteer Coordinator works with staff members to steward and leverage existing community partnerships, seek new and skilled volunteers, and broaden the scope and scale of our current programs. This member would also seek partnerships with military veteran organizations to ensure that we are creating opportunities for returned soldiers to utilize their skills and talents. Serve as liaison between Habitat staff, Construction Managers, Resource Development, board members, committee members, families, and community organizations. Responsibilities:

* Recruit: Continual outreach to individuals and groups including hosting of virtual or in person monthly volunteer info sessions.
* Orient: Develop and maintain consistent orientation processes for individuals and groups, collect all necessary documentation prior to volunteering, and ensure volunteers are prepared for their assignments and have adequate signup information.
* Retain: Continual follow-up with volunteers which includes a follow up survey and analyzation of to improve experience, events and recognition to keep volunteers engaged.
* Increase youth involvement through youth programs and events.
* Manage and keep track of volunteer files including volunteer lists, waivers, and hours.
* Selecting, training, and supervising the volunteer staff of an organization.
* Maintains communication with volunteers.
* Revising and implementing volunteer experience survey, and analyzing the results that follow.
* Attend community outreach programs to promote volunteer opportunities, including events targeted at the military, veteran, and senior communities.
* Attend, secure, and manage affiliate presence at volunteer fairs/ community days.
* Developing new, and maintaining existing, partnerships with community businesses and organizations to provide in-kind donations for collegiate challenge, volunteer picnic, and other volunteer services.

Required Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree required.
* Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in program development and coordinated volunteer programs.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office software required, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Experience with Salesforce and VolunteerHub is a plus.

* Knowledge of, and willingness to promote, the mission and activities of Habitat for Humanity.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
* Effective interpersonal communication skills, including written and verbal capabilities and practice of keeping all stakeholders informed.
* Detail oriented and highly organized.
* Profound knowledge of managing volunteer resources.
* Outstanding knowledge of current trends and information for volunteerism.
* Knowledge of community development practices.
* Flexibility regarding work assignments and work hours.
* Ability to sit for extended period at a computer and desk workstation.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule including some weekends and evenings as required.
* Ability to plan, schedule, prioritize, coordinate, delegate, and manage multiple work activities effectively.
* Ability to maneuver on a construction site (over dirt, rocks, piles of materials, etc.) to sign in and greet volunteers.
* Ability to work in varying weather conditions - sites are often not heated during winter and not air-conditioned during summer. While the position is primarily in the office, member will be on site regularly to greet volunteers.
* Ability to speak to a crowd of 30 or more without a microphone.
