PART TIME HUMAN RESOURCES REPRESENTATIVE

Lares Home Care is looking for a Human Resource Representative who is a team player, hardworking and who can handle HR duties in a fast-paced environment. The role of the Human Resource Representative is to run and oversee general HR operations to comply with state laws and company policies. The ideal candidate is someone who has administrative or human resource experience looking for an opportunity to grow in their career.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resource Representative will assist with complex and specialized administrative tasks including reviewing job applications from prospective employees, managing, recruiting, hiring and overseeing records, and generating reports.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.
  • Assists in maintaining an effective system for interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and terminating employment of personnel in all classifications.
  • Follows and assists in establishing organization-wide programs, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all Federal, State and local laws, regulations and standards that affect Human Resources and Payroll.
  • Reviews applications for entry-level and non-exempt positions; conducts and/or schedules preliminary interviews.
  • Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
  • Participates and contributes to office meetings
  • Plans and supports company-wide information meetings such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plans.
  • Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, employee file audits, and other compliance reviews.
  • Educates staff on employee rights and all new and updated Human Resources/Payroll policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of Human Resources experience
  • Bachelor's Degree
