Saint-Gobain in Mickleton, NJis for you!We have an immediate need for a Process Control & Improvement Engineer to support our Quality department. The successful candidate will: Act as an expert and coach for QPC pillar implementation, coordinating QPC pillar implementation process on site level. Support the site in implementing a deeply embedded Quality & Process Control culture in line with the Quality Management System. Align with Quality and Hose Distribution Manager to identify cost savings opportunities which support Process Control and efficiency targets. Lead/mentor/conduct quality improvement projects through continuous improvement Initiatives, including process design for error-proofing. Responsible for quality complaint resolution, leading investigations and resolving internal Events/CAPAs related to site Quality or Process utilizing sound problem solving methodologies. Lead the investigation of customer complaints, utilizing the QPC Defect Reduction Routs, QPC tools, to drive root cause analysis, ensuring the depth and validity of the investigation. Report out to Quality and Hose Distribution Managers with the customers on corrective actions. Management of Equipment Calibration for measuring, inspection and process equipment. Participate in third party audits and conduct training to plant personnel when needed. Performing process changes in the site, identifying, prioritizing and mitigating risks related to planned changes. Assist Quality Technicians to perform incoming and final release inspection testing as needed. Other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsThe successful candidate must possess a body of technical work commensurate with years of experience including but not limited to: A thorough understanding of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques. Considerable ingenuity and the ability to work independently. Able to operate independently and as part of a team to meet customer requirements. Be self-motivated with the ability to gather and coordinate resources to complete projects. Must have a BS degree in an engineering concentration, mechanical preferred. Ability to train, share knowledge/experience and coach in an engaging way.
