JOB SUMMARY
Apply business knowledge and human resources expertise. Assists and supports HR Manager and Department Managers in providing a wide range or HR support and advice. Play a key role in the success of the organization by offering guidance and support on recruitment, terminations, performance management and evaluation, benefits, employee relations and HR best practices
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Assist Talent Acquisition Partner on recruitment and hiring processes.
- Supports HR team with any temporary staff, assisting in facilitating all needs to match operational demands
- Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issue that may arise.
- Collaborates with HR Manager to ensure delivery of annual training programs, to include collaboration with Quality Assurance, and Health & Safety managers
- Ensures that all employee performance reviews are completed timely and thoroughly, such as 30, 60 and 90-day evaluations, as well as annual reviews
- Gather and analyze data with useful HR metrics, such as time to hire and employee turnover rates.
- Coordinates the translation and interpretation of program materials if necessary
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
- Functions as open-door advocate to employees/managers on employment related issues.
- Resolves day to day employee relations matters in compliance with policy and practice, and escalates more complicated matters to HR Manager or Director of Human Resources.
- Assists in the investigation and resolution of employee issues and coordinates processes of responding to complaints
- Drafts documentation related to employee relations matters for HR Manager review, and participates in all meetings with employees and their manager above the level of a verbal warning
- Attends company scheduled meetings when applicable (i.e., safety meetings, production meetings, department meetings.)
- Informs supervision of any problems or complications that may arise
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required
In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:
- Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work-related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
- Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments. Must follow all Company Safety policies, as well as all GMP regulations and all lock-out/tag-out requirements according to OSHA requirements.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 3- 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, with a focus on employee relations and recruiting. Manufacturing experience a plus. Proven skills as a facilitator of the recruitment process, and handling employee relations matters. Bilingual a must.
EDUCATION
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in HR or equivalent work experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Bilingual a must.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Solid interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.'
