Laboratory Assistant

Our client is a well know painting company looking for a Laboratory Assistant join their team.

$18-$22/hr

The Laboratory Assistant will work with an organized team on paint evaluations. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous lab experience looking to learn and grow within the company. The Lab Assistant is required but not limited to prepare color samples, scrub resistance and stain removal testing, preparing and cleaning lab materials, assisting the team through out all experiments and more.

• Maintain lab notebook in real time
• Laboratory testing of materials
• Chemical properties testing including viscosity, density, RI and melting point
• Weighing out paint samples for evaluations
• Assisting with evaluations and stability check
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all lab and database guidelines and rules
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• 0-2 years of industry experience in GMP lab
• Multi-tasker, positive attitude and eager to learn
• Professional written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge and use of basic equipment
• Has basic knowledge and understanding of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures
• Needs to be able to lift 5 gallon pails of paint

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field

• Atrium Care package available, upon eligibility
