Job Summary. The Director BD Diligence and Transactions executes the transaction strategy for their assigned project. In this role they work to evaluate and present opportunities, project manage the transaction process, and assist with execution deliverable. Job Description: Work with MSRD, Digital and OPCJ BD to lead and support diligence needs for Business development deals. Cross-functional diligence lead for opportunities identified as being of interest and moved to stage 2 and beyond in the BD process. Participate and lead as relevant negotiations and transactions as directed by MSRD / Digital / BD / Corp Development deal principals. Work closely with other Global Business Development (GBD) members as well as the relevant BUs/Corporate functions (e.g, Finance, Legal, Operations). Develops and maintains key relationships across a broad sphere of influence, both internally and externally. Occasionally requested to manage special projects for Head of Business Development and other key stakeholders. Qualifications. Knowledge/ Experience and Skills: A minimum of 8 years professional work experience with at least 4 years in pharmaceutical or biotech transactions roles. Significant experience in biotech and pharma transactions required. Demonstrated ability to partner with executive leadership required. Understanding of scientific principles and the drug development process is recommended. Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills and creativity in applying analytical frameworks to business issues are critical. Must be able to develop a comprehensive understanding of disparate complex and ambiguous situations and clearly frame the issues and questions presented. Excellent transactional, financial, business, and management expertise, as well as a strong capability and knowledge of early- and late-stage transactions and at least a high-level understanding of the science and technologies involved. Creative solution mindset in developing deals. Project team experience within a highly-matrixed organization is required. Proven record of leading, negotiating & executing a variety of deals by phase and degrees of complexity. Some travel (~ Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree in business or law is a plus.
