The Department of Clinical Biomarker Immunoassay & Mass Spectrometry (CBIMS) in Translational Medicine at our client site in Princeton, NJ is seeking a candidate to provide expertise and laboratory support for the quantitative analysis of biomarkers in drug discovery and development.
The major responsibility for this position is to develop and execute LC-MS based methods in support of quantitative biomarker (small molecules, peptides and proteins, etc) analysis, including assay development, validation, troubleshooting and sample analysis for non-clinical and clinical studies from different therapeutic areas. You will also report study sample results to clients following the department policies and procedures, and communicate laboratory results and findings in cross-disciplinary project team and department meetings. You must be highly motivated, organized, with excellent communication skills (oral and written), detail oriented, and most importantly a good team player.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8+ years).
- In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proven ability in technical writing skills
- Good knowledge of LC-MS instrumentation for small and large molecule quantitation; experienced in both triple quadrupole MS and high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) platforms.
- Hands on experience on Thermo's Q Exactive, Sciex's Triple TOF 6600+ or Bruker's TimsTOF Pro platforms is desirable.
- Experience of immuno-capture LC-MS assay workflow, including immuno-capture with bead or cartridge formats, enzymatic digestion, and basic knowledge of ligand-binding assay (LBA) is a plus.
- Capability of performing complex and multiplex biomarker LC-MS assay development in biological matrices.
- Familiar with Skyline, Spectronaut™ and other advanced protein analysis software for targeted proteomics is desirable.
- Knowledge and hands on experience in proteomics is a plus.
- Ability to keep accurate and timely documentation per departmental guidelines, timely document and communicate abnormal laboratory observations.
- Possess excellent communication and organizational skills in a cross-functional environment.
