Senior Financial Analyst - General Diagnostics (GDx) Finance
JOB SUMMARY:
This Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) position will report to the Senior Finance Manager (SFM) and will support the GDx Franchises within Quest - Cardiovascular, Metabolic & Endocrine (CVME), Infectious Disease and Immunology (IDI), Drug Monitoring (DM) and General Health and Wellness (GHW). The SFA will support the SFM, be a business partner to the business leaders and will provide financial insights to help drive growth.
The individual in this role will need to be agile, adaptable, and flexible given the dynamic nature of the businesses and will work with the SFM and business partners to:
• Create financial ROI models supporting proposed new product launches / initiatives
• Build enhanced reporting capabilities
• Participate in strategic planning to grow the business
• Provide day-to-day financial support
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support the business leadership by helping formulate business strategy, conduct detailed analysis, and provide financial insights on new product launches / initiatives
• Provide detailed analysis of current state of profitability and partner with the product teams to develop annual business plans
• Synthesize information from various sources to develop and create new dashboards and reporting tools to analyze business performance
• Collaborate with cross functional teams (e.g. Commercial, Market Research & Analytics, Pricing etc) gain understanding of business drivers and present financial performance to various levels of management.
• Create operating financial models for product-based M&A transactions
• Support VP Finance / Finance Director with various ad-hoc information requests.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• A Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
• CPA or MBA preferred
• Approximately 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Self-starter with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrates a strong knowledge of operational and financial processes and practical application of financial and strategic analysis
• Demonstrates skill in working with senior management and functional subject matter experts
• Strong Excel skills are desired
• Experience in PowerBI and/or Tableau preferred
