JOB SUMMARY:

The Production Foreman is a working position, responsible for day-to-day manual production related tasks, as well as, directing and managing on-site production/assembly workers, subcontractors and equipment, enforcing the company's Quality & Safety policies and procedures, while meeting production deadlines. Provides specialist level engineering support, programming capability, and apply custom integration practices for all facets and types of Master Control panels for Power and Systems Engineering projects and packages. To include VFD certification to perform startup and commissioning level functions in the field in an autonomous fashion. Manages production staff by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Completes production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; and reporting results.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Interprets, implements and enforces regulatory requirements related to safety, environmental and industry standards.
  • Interprets plans, blueprints and sketches of proposed structures in terms of the relevant specifications
  • Manages the company resources and prepares reports on project schedule, equipment, materials and progress
  • Responsible to perform all Quality tests, checks, and inspections to ensure finished product meets company standards
  • Recommends repairs, supervises the maintenance of tools and equipment and determines work procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Provide and support PLC and HMI programming capabilities on a project-by-project basis
  • Program, test, and commission VFD packages as required.
  • Confirm product performance by designing and conducting tests.
  • Maintain project schedules by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
  • Maintain project data base by writing computer programs and spreadsheets, entering and backing up data.
  • Complete projects by supervising installations as required, resolving design issues
  • Must be willing to travel; International travel may be required at times as well.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, required
  • Minimum 7 years custom controls production and some Field Engineering experience.
  • Full understanding of ISO2008 practices and protocols to be utilized in the production process.
  • Knowledgeable of power equipment, VFDs, and equivalent control systems.
  • Have a working understanding of engineering, design, and construction of Power Generation Systems and packages.
  • Capability to develop and read PLC and HMI code.
  • Excellent understanding of and good troubleshooting techniques on communications and networking of PLCs, HMIs, and all related devices to support a working Master Control system.
  • Fluent in MS Office tools (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project); Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to work extended work schedules as required supporting the project execution plans and schedules.
  • Working Knowledgeable of:

    • Documentation Skills
    • Safety Management
    • AutoCAD Circuit Design
  • Must be required to possess and maintain U.S. Government security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship or U.S permanent resident status required.
  • A valid drivers' license issued by state of residence and in good standing
