Job description
Responsibilities:
*Perform Quality Control testing of raw materials, in-process and finished product samples per approved internal and customer specifications and associated test methods.
*Assist in sampling of raw materials upon receipt, when needed. Maintain quick turnaround time of raw material release.
*Familiar with Quality GMP documentation (hard copy and electronic) of testing results and assurance of laboratory data integrity.
*Experience with USP interpretation and testing.
*Support QC audit readiness with understanding of FDA regulations and requirements.
*Support on-time testing performance against the Production schedules.
*Ensure equipment and instruments are maintained for optimal performance, including calibration, preventative maintenance, inventory of spare parts and testing standards, and qualification for use.
*Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of QC lab equipment to minimize downtime.
*Assist with OOS, Deviations, and NC/CAPA investigations. Lead or participate in troubleshooting customer complaint investigations.
*Promote a safe work environment. May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment.
*Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for all QC areas.
*Employ sound and compliant laboratory techniques and logic per industry standards (e.g., FDA, USP/NF, ISO, ANSI) and internal and customer requirements.
*Keep Supervisor informed of any Quality related issues that arise in the laboratory or with Finished Product.
*Support QC audit readiness with understanding of FDA regulations and requirements.
*Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
*Bachelor's Degree, or working towards a Degree in Chemistry or Biology
*Wet chemistry experience: dilutions, titrations and preparing solutions
*1 year working in a laboratory environment, preferably in life sciences, with analysis experience in Spectroscopy (FTIR, UV-Vis), Refractometry, Microscopy, Rheology, pH, and physical appearance.
*Experience working in an ISO or FDA regulated environment
*Intermediate knowledge of analytical equipment, analytical methods, and data analysis.
*Familiar with Quality GMP documentation (hard copy and electronic) of testing results and assurance of laboratory data integrity.
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of management within the Company and outside customers/vendors.
*Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
