Job Purpose
What does a great Technical Business Analyst do?
- Fast-paced Technical Business Analyst role is to drive Operational Readiness and Maturity for banking and other financial services products.
- This is an excellent opportunity for someone with exposure to Implementations or Support of financial services products, good analytical thinking skills, and an aptitude towards project management and process definition and improvement.
- This position works in a collaborative matrixed environment communicating and engaging with multiple teams on a regular basis to provide operational requirements for product releases, identify impacts of releases on operational teams, and ensure completion of various tasks to prepare operational teams to implement and support features/products.
- This role is critical to bringing resources together, driving discussions and concluding on decisions and next steps.
- The nature of the role provides excellent opportunities for exposure to leaders, new technologies, and future career growth.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Obtain sufficient knowledge of Products, Features, Integrations, and Implementation processes in order to thoroughly represent requirements, ask value-added questions during collaboration and identify impacts as they arise throughout the project lifecycle.
- Attend recurring product release meetings related to planning, feature grooming and requirements, sprint reviews, as the lead representative for assigned Implementation team. Identify items that arise for Ops Readiness during these discussions and take accountability to drive to conclusion outside of these meetings.
- Complete and maintain internal release playbooks/checklists and release turnover documents to ensure consistent and accurate representation Implementations and/or Support requirements and impacts.
- Track critical dates and activities; identify delays as they occur, raise risks, issues and impacts to project team based on Product and Process knowledge. Apply lessons learned from previous projects to prevent or quickly address concerns with team.
- Lead, and drive to conclusion, discussions involving coordination and planning for rollout of new features, where applicable.
- Ensure creation of deliverables required for operational readiness of supported teams; including, but not limited to training content, process maps and standard operating procedures.
- Partner with internal customers to ensure their overall satisfaction with operational readiness preparations before release.
- Under direct supervision, the Business Systems Analyst - Staff supports client implementations for Companion App customers across the Card Services Client Branded Platform.
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology or Associate's degree with relevant work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in implementations, business systems analysis, project management or coordination.
- 3-5 years of experience working in a customer service oriented or time-sensitive environment driven by project timelines.
- 2-3 years of process improvement knowledge with a demonstrated history of process enhancement success
- Experience in Technical Writing and Reporting.
- Experience managing multiple projects, implementations, and client escalations simultaneously.
- Experience working with the MS Office Suite of products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Visio.
- This is a work from office (WFO) position and attendance in an approved Card Services facility is required.
Preferred Qualifications for consideration:
- Previous EFT/financial industry experience is preferred
