Overview:Job DescriptionType of Opportunity: Full TimeFTE: 1.000000Exempt: YesWork Schedule: DaysSummary:Business Informatics leader responsible for overseeing and coordinating specialty engagement in Epic content development and optimization consistent with organizational initiatives; providing testing, ad hoc training across business units; promoting and supporting end user adoption; designing to cross-functional organizational workflows within clinical information systems across departments in the clinical setting. Responsible for the operational oversight of clinical and outpatient inflow denial support, charge capture, revenue /reconciliation and central insurance verification functions and is accountable for development of applicable policies and procedures. Provides leadership consistent with organizational strategy and works to achieve established results categories to include clinical outcomes, customer loyalty, staff focus, growth, and financial outcomes. Serves as a subject matter expert of advanced Epic system, revenue cycle workflows and 3rd party software applicable to these workflows.Responsibilities:Responsibilities:Specific Functions*Partner in the effort implementing and maintaining PMG systems by comprehending business and operational practices to improve the quality and efficiency of patient care with the use of clinical information systems.*Oversees the strategic design, implementation and maintenance of PMG Business Informatics initiatives.*Provides senior level consulting services related to PMG Business Informatics issues. Applies analytical and project management methodologies to evaluate and implement large, technically difficult projects in these areas.Provides direction and consultation for collection, data analysis, presentation and development to support the needs of the PMG Program/Department.Oversees Business Analyst team task of Data Mining to help with PMG organizational strategies and to help with key respective decisions*Facilitate/participate in group design with subject matter experts, translating organizational/specialty/department needs and requirements into automated systems design.*Familiar with and influences the charge review and revenue capture processes for PMG Outpatient professional billing (including split billing) across the enterprise.*Works closely with PMG Clinics and Hospital Service Lines to ensure that professional revenue reconciliation processes are in place and escalates issues relative to charge capture and revenue routing to Finance/Revenue Cycle Leadership. Specifically, in the area of Inflows Denials improvement.*Oversees the Insurance Verification/Pre-registration process across PMG clinics by integrating and maintaining the Experian eligibility clearinghouse and Experian Registration Quality Alerts (or other 3rd party tools). Oversees this specific vendor relationship.*Works directly with PMG Finance to ensure appropriate operational policies and procedures are established relative to revenue reconciliation, charge capture, missing charges and RVU reporting for professional and technical fees. Provides support for all strategic implementation programs through ad hoc training. Works with Training Development team on Epic and other revenue cycle applications training to ensure consistent standardization.*Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and initiatives within Epic and 3rd party applications.*Works in a highly collaborative manner with organization leaders to accomplish goals related to standardization and transfer of best practices.*Serves as a role model by ensuring that personal assignment (e.g. Rounding, Thank You Notes, Compliance Tests) are completed early and completely.*Serve on councils and committees as assigned.General Functions*Performs personnel management functions including hiring, coaching, evaluating, counseling and dismissals.*Interacts and coordinates activities with a variety of health care agents, regulatory agencies, and vendors.*Participates in conflict resolution as necessary and acts as an effective problem solver.*Exemplifies a high standard of leadership qualities and professionalism. At least two years operational or clinical experience required, with business or financial experience preferred. Epic certification preferred.
