Summary:
The Manager - Corporate Giving is a key foundation fundraising position. Essential functions include the oversight of the planning and execution of two of the states premier special events as well as the management of a personal portfolio of corporate prospects and donors for the solicitation of sponsorship and annual giving support. This role is essential in securing charitable contributions from corporate donors and will work with board members and volunteers to execute these fundraising campaigns and events.
Responsibilities:
* Reporting to the VP-Foundation Annual Giving, the Corporate and Event Giving Director guides the overall strategy and execution of all corporate fundraising.
* Manages a robust portfolio of donors and ensures timely cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities are undertaken.
* Designs and implements annual corporate fundraising campaigns and special event appeals using direct mail, personal solicitation, involvement of business organizations, and partnership with Presbyterian leadership.
* Develops rapport with existing and prospective corporate donors to discuss giving options. Suggests specific programs and projects that could benefit from philanthropy. Provides reports and information to key prospects and donors through stewardship events, newsletters, and mailings.
* Conducts presentations on philanthropy and PHF giving options to potential donors.
* Collaborates with Presbyterian leadership to identify new and existing programs and projects that can benefit from philanthropy and establish and execute fundraising initiatives.
* Works closely and collaboratively with the VP-Foundation Annual Giving to ensure direction and outstanding execution of annual signature fundraising events, particularly Laughter is the Best Medicine and Daffodil Days.
* Accountable for the solicitation and procurement of all event sponsorship, sales, cash donations and additional event revenues. PHF Special Events are extremely large in scale and magnitude and gross more than $900,000 dollars to the organization.
* Manages the Special Events Specialist position and oversees the coordination and implementation of all special events, including donor cultivation, stewardship events, and major gift donor recognition events.
* Creates corporate donor packages and executes the fulfillment of sponsor benefits and requests.
* Responsible for budgeting, donor relations, marketing and donor recognition for special events.
* Develops tools and resources for the management of donor data to facilitate accurate reporting and systematic flow of information.
* Takes responsibility for goal setting, performance measurements, rewards and recognition for direct report.
Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree
Minimum of 3-5 year of direct fundraising experience
Knowledge of all major foundation functions
Proven track record in fundraising, including campaigns, and annual giving techniques and processes
Proficiency in MS Office programs and experience using a CRM
Extensive knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Excel
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills combined with an ability to prioritize demands
Excellent written communication skills
Ability to manage, understand and manipulate complex data
