The Human Resources team at the UNM Medical Group consists of nine team members who pride themselves on being a team that works together to serve the HR needs of the Medical Group. And our fun, compassionate, driven, goal-oriented HR team is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join us!
Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist, under limited supervision, is responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and referring applicants for administrative, clinical/non-clinical, and patient care support positions throughout the organization. This position must have experiencing in interviewing potential candidates, knowledge of the recruitment process, the ability to build trust with candidates and hiring managers, the capacity to clearly articulate the employee value proposition and knowledge of federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Creates recruitment advertising and online postings for routine positions, as applicable. Sources candidates through online social networking and job boards, community involvement, professional networking, local media resources, employee referrals, and other sources as needed.
* Maintains integrity of all staffing process records within applicant tracking system while striving for continuous improvement on key performance metrics such as time-to-fill and satisfaction surveys.
* Develops and maintains relationships with current employees, and all new hires, to proactively harvest referrals/leads and create excitement around referrals.
* Assesses potential candidates for fit within the position identified, including skills, education, and experience and also competency and company culture alignment.
* Accesses and utilizes HR information systems and data to run reports and validate and analyze staffing trends for future needs.
* Assist in developing and executing on innovative methods to source, evaluate, and pipeline external passive, diverse candidates for future and/or current employment needs.
* Ensures that hiring manager is apprised on the status of recruitment efforts throughout the recruitment process.
* Assist in developing sourcing plans to build talent pipelines for all areas, as appropriate.
* Builds and maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
* collaborates with Sr. Talent Acquisition specialist in developing effective sourcing initiatives that meet the organizations long-term human capital planning
* Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
High-school Diploma or GED with at least of nine (5) years of directly job related experience. Completed degree from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Verification of education and licensure will be required if selected for hire.
