This requires us to deliver on our promises and always look for new opportunities to grow, both ourselves and our business.Job PurposeThe role is accountable to perform compliance assurance assessments of company and/or contractor personnel to ensure GFO activities are performed and documented with all applicable Federal and State code requirements, work methods, policies and procedures. This position is also accountable to facilitate regulatory audits, respond to PSC inquiries and compliance finding reporting. To implement a compliance and risk management framework and ensure ongoing compliance with regulations and industry standards.Key AccountabilitiesManage engagement with state regulators, facilitate audits, respond to regulatory inquiries and compliance finding reportingRegulatory audit response data gathering, review and submissionIncident data gathering as required by external regulatorsEvaluate the effectiveness of pipeline safety programs for compliance with State and Federal Code; National Grid policies and proceduresConduct second line assurance reviews of functional and procedurally required records/documentation created in the field during installation, repair or execution of mandated activitiesManage and track commitments associated with regulatory orders and auditsIdentify deficiencies and overall pipeline safety performance trends or patterns which may adversely impact the safety of system performanceProvide recommendations and assist in implementation of corrective actions in order to improve quality and safety of operations performanceProvide routine performance updates at Safety Briefs or Performance Hubs to help field operations personnel increase focus on areas of pipeline safety managementReviews work for accuracy and assure that all details are completeWork closely with Operations to identify improvement opportunities based upon First and Second Line Assurance resultsSupervisory/Interpersonal- Experience RequiredSignificant experience managing relationships with internal and external stakeholdersStrong communication skills and experience of communicating with, and influencing, internal and stakeholdersWorks effectively across diverse groups in the company to resolve problemsQualificationsBachelors' Degree preferred or 5+ years of experience in natural gas industry or similar regulated industryAbility to analyze information and synthesize themes and trendsDemonstrated ability to meet time/date driven mandatesIn-depth knowledge of industry regulations, safety rules, company policies, work methods and proceduresFamiliarity with the Company Operator Qualification programUses direct persuasion to influence others using data, logic or a solid business caseTakes personal responsibility for correcting problems promptlyProficient in Company data information systems (CRIS, CSS, MAXIMO, STORMS, FSL, and GIS for example) is desiredValid driver's license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid's Safe Driver policyMore InformationThis position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
