A Barista for CUP is a connoisseur of coffee, student of coffee experience curation, subject matter expert on coffee preparation, educator on coffee taste profiles, welcomer of both the coffee purist and coffee curious


As Barista, you possess a seasoned and measurable experience of coffee, coffee preparation and servicing. A bartender is a bartender and a DJ is a DJ until you've experienced the ones that shift your very expectation of a bartender or DJ, and neither drinks or music feels the same after crossing their paths, we think the same for our Baristas, each cup served at CUP is an opportunity to transform, welcome, endear or alter a customers relationship with coffee and its complimentary food and drinks. One can say that we are either looking for much more than baristas or in a world of many baristas, we are looking for true barista craftsmen and craftswomen.


Coffee snobs need NOT apply, CUP is invested in coffee being an inviting and inclusive experience, as barista you create and leave a lasting impression on the coffee experience, we are driven to disrupt the coffee industry and are seeking baristas that understand their significant role in unlocking the potential of coffee.


Our Barista responsibilities include:


~ Make and serve a selection of delicious beverages with a variety of different brewing and preparation methods

~ Prepare and serve delicious food

~ delivering exceptional and benchmark setting hospitality to all guest, teammates, customers, vendors, suppliers and managers

~ Stays knowledgeable about CUP's beverage and food offerings and preparation techniques

~ Upholding and following all health, food safety and safety guidelines

~ Taking and fulfilling order transactions

~ Boutique upkeep and cleanliness



Barista requirements include:


~ coffee preparation and serving experience (min. 2 year)

~ Existing Food Safety Certification required for the state you will be working in and your specific role or will obtain it within 30 days post-hire

~ A flexible schedule and are available to work mornings, evening, weekends and holidays.

~ Make and serve a selection of delicious beverages with a variety of different brewing and preparation methods.
