Job Details In more than 100 laboratories, our scientists are conducting innovative research to advance understanding in the biological sciences and improve human health. The SKI Staff includes 400 research fellows, and 200 graduate students (both PhDs and MD/PhDs). SKI boasts many National Academy of Sciences members and Howard Hughes Medical Institute investigators.We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team and provide support to one of our Principal Investigators (PI). You Will: Perform routine administrative activities to maintain the smooth operation of the office including answering and directing calls, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and answering email inquiries in a timely mannerPrepare/produce complex documents including memos, correspondence, reports, presentations, and manuals as required, and assist with the coordination and organization of timely grants submissions and similar projectsAssist and participate in divisional projectsUpdate websites and office documentation, proofreading, and editing text, creating accurate and legible documents Interact with lab members, place scientific lab orders, and serve as a point person for equipment inventory and maintenanceYou Are: Flexible in order to align with the constantly evolving needs of the teamAn effective communicator, with good organization skills, and digital literacyAdept at creating partnerships and working collaboratively to meet goalsWilling to embrace new opportunities and learn to assist with ordering and Lab inventory managementA good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forwardYou Have: Excellent Microsoft Office software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Outstanding communication & interpersonal skillsExperience in a hospital or academic research lab preferred #LI-Post
