Qontigo is seeking a business analyst for our Analytics Product management team. Possible office locations include Atlanta, New York, or London. This position reports to the Managing Director of Portfolio Construction Products.

The Business Analyst will have primary responsibility for developing and maintaining business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for our performance attribution products. The role requires a hands-on approach to specifying and testing performance attribution algorithms.

We use Scrum and other agile practices and expect business analysts to participate in improving our processes and practices. It is essential that you can work collaboratively in our team environment.

Responsibilities:
Proactively communicate and collaborate with customers, subject matter experts, internal stakeholders, and developers to create product requirements.

Decompose product requirements into user stories for use in an agile development environment.

Collaborate with the development and testing teams to create acceptance criteria suitable for implementing and testing user stories.

Perform user acceptance testing.

Manage and prioritize the product backlog.

Manage delivery deadlines and schedules.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance or related field from an accredited institution.

2-3 years' experience building and specifying mission-critical business applications.

Knowledge of equity performance attribution methodologies.

Strong facilitation skills. Must be able to elicit requirements from various personalities across organizational and geographical boundaries.

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members and management.

Solid mathematical aptitude.

Knowledge of agile development methodologies helpful.

Familiarity with agile project management tools such as Jira a plus.

Familiarity with SQL and Python or similar scripting language a plus.
