Job description
Description
We are Multiverse, a tech startup on a mission and one of the fastest-growing companies in Europe. Through apprenticeships, we're building an outstanding alternative to university and corporate training to develop a diverse group of future leaders. In Europe, we are expanding rapidly and already work with over 300 clients, including Facebook, Morgan Stanley, KPMG, Kantar, Citi and Microsoft and have just opened in America. 2021 is going to be big. We have just closed our Series B funding round, the largest venture raise from a European EdTech company in history, led by General Catalyst and Google Ventures, to accelerate our expansion into the US.
Requirements
We're looking for a Director of B2C Marketing who can help us increase awareness and reach potential apprentices to tell an impactful story about why an apprenticeship could lead to a life-changing career that leads them to apply.
We're now looking for an exceptional person to lead B2C growth marketing Globally. With deep expertise in performance and digital content marketing and a passion for a well run and predictable marketing funnel, the Director of Marketing (B2C) will build and lead a growing team (both in the US and UK) to design, scale, and iterate our B2C marketing strategies to drive high-quality, high-potential, unconventional candidates to apprenticeship opportunities at our partner companies - think roles for non-graduate talent at Google, Facebook, KPMG and Peloton! This is a new role with big ambitions, and we're looking for someone who is obsessed with executing with excellence and constantly improving to define an integrated digital strategy. We're out to ensure that our apprentice acquisition team finds the best candidates who otherwise might be overlooked, using a combination of creative and data-driven approaches, to ensure we're staying true to our mission.
About the role
- Drive the marketing strategy for for reaching high-quality apprentices in partnership with our PMM, community & outreach team, and strategy & operations teams
- Own the execution of the strategy including the budgeting, tech stack, and agency partnerships you'll need to be successful - building a team in the US market, and, as our US presence is established, grow to manage and develop the UK B2C team
- Utilize a combination of paid and organic levers to develop successful demand campaigns that excite our primary target audience of early-career professionals (be a Tik Tok fan!)
- Work closely with our brand & content team to deliver awareness campaigns to improve the understanding of what a professional apprenticeship is
- Partner closely with marketing operations and the data + insights team to build reporting that provides meaningful insight into pipeline performance and optimization opportunities
- Proactively manage internal stakeholder relationships across Outreach (generating candidate-focused partnerships), Go to Market (developing apprentice need pipeline and meeting client needs) and Admissions (assessing candidate suitability) teams as a B2C marketing subject matter expert, maintaining feedback loops on success and challenges and ensuring strong alignment across business functions
- Own and execute on broader exciting opportunities and other everyday work. All of it is crucial to deliver on our vision and mission. We expect you to have a roll-up-your-sleeves-and-dive-in attitude all the time. This is a startup: your scope will change and stretch, and you're happy to roll with the punches.
About you
- You are passionate about social and economic mobility and the goal of ensuring that all candidates have equitable access to apprenticeship opportunities
- You've spent your career so far in marketing or growth roles at hyper-growth startups and have a track record of impact and excellence
- You have experience developing full-funnel strategies and processes leveraging content, SEO, partnerships, social and/or performance marketing to grow quality applicants or meet other relevant KPIs
- You have a bias for operational excellence - you are data-informed and comfortable with setting up tracking, diving into Google Analytics, or advising on the best attribution strategy
- You can think in systems and gravitate towards building things that run on their own
- You have experience building and managing a marketing team
- You are a proactive, effective communicator and are excited about working in a diverse, distributed team
- You have a positive-sum mentality - you're equally excited about both rolling up your sleeves to get something done and reflecting on our marketing strategy and the big picture
- You are comfortable, experienced in, and motivated by working with high-expectations stakeholders who move at pace, especially where meeting goals is a question of how and not whether; you are able to earn trust and retain it through difficult situations
- You have high internal expectations for what is possible and the ability to bring others along on that journey
Benefits
What's in it for you?
- Ownership in the business through equity options
- 20 days PTO to ensure you have plenty of time to recharge and stay on top of your game. We will make you take them!
- Comprehensive health, vision and dental insurance plans and 401(k) starting on your first day
- Be surrounded by smart, driven and ambitious people who dream big, work hard and have fun
- Be at the heart of a rapidly accelerating business that the leading Silicon Valley VCs are investing in; and be part of the foundational team on the ground in the US
