Position Title: Finance Manager, Malibu & Smithworks

Location: New York, NY (Headquarters)

Position Summary:

The position of Finance Manager, Malibu & Smithworks is a critical role in Pernod Ricard USA organization. As the primary finance business partner within the Brand Unit team, the #1 objective is to bring fact base commercial insights to facilitate and influence strategic decision making on Malibu & Smithworks.

Major Responsibilities:

Own Brand Financials:
Ownership of brands P&L
Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for assigned brands
Tracking and management of brand Advertising & Promotion (A&P) budgets, in conjunction with brand marketing team
Understand Brand performance:
Tracking of internal and external trends (including depletions, Nielsen, and NABCA data) and interactions with Field Finance to explain and/or forecast brand performance and drive decisions.
Preparation of business cases to support brand-related commercial decisions (e.g. price changes, product/range extensions, innovation etc)
Preparation of commercial and strategic reviews relating to the brand as well as other ad hoc senior management/stakeholder presentations
Optimize Resource allocation:
Governance of brand pricing strategy and identification and implementation of revenue optimization opportunities
Evaluation of marketing program effectiveness (ROI)
Simplify processes & ways-of-working for the whole PR USA organization:
Streamline of internal processes and systems
Facilitate strategic alignment between Markets and HQ
Play integral role in PR USA change management
Manage and develop direct and indirect BP&A team:
Manage one Analyst
Participate in the recruitment and development of BP&A analysts from talent rotational program

Requirements:

Experience / Background:
Minimum 6+ years in a financial planning and analysis or commercially focused business analytics role with demonstrable career progression
High level of comfort with planning, budgeting and forecasting, navigating and managing a financial P&L, and delivering insight-driven commercial analysis
Industry experience preferable but not essential
Skills:
Highly analytical, with ability to use the power of facts to bring insight make clear finance recommendations and commercial decisions;
Ability to confidently interact with non-finance departments, understanding their key requirements and tailoring financial data to satisfy these requirements;
Strong influencing skills, proactive in challenging and influencing the business based on insight, knowledge and fact;
Ability to understand market dynamics and be able to clearly articulate strategic priorities for the business from both a finance & commercial perspective;
Ability to manage numerous work streams simultaneously to tight timelines;
Excellent communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels;
Strong accounting & reporting skills;
Thorough approach with high level of accuracy;
Team player and capability to translate effectiveness across the wider team

Good relationship building and communication skills
Education:
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Finance, Accounting or Economics
MBA preferred
