Overview:
SMBC Human Resources is currently going through an exciting transformational journey that will deliver various strategic projects, during which we will be transitioning to SAP Success Factors. As part of this, we are looking to establish a Shared Service support model within HR for the Americas Region.

We are looking for this project role to provide strategic and directional leadership along with experienced guidance through the effective management of HR Shared Services over the coming 12 months. We are looking for the right person who will take appropriate ownership, set up the shared service model (in conjunction with stakeholders) and see it through to implementation and ultimately into daily operations and governance.

The successful candidate will work to create a project plan, help design the shared service tiered support model and conduct any training for the HR team. Change Management will be a key factor in this design and implementation.

The ideal candidate will be able to use their experience from previous HR transformation programs to provide the following:

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include:

Provide thought and strategic leadership for the program, partnering with all the HR COE's and designated peer departments

Passionate about service delivery

Works with Senior HR Executives and subject matter experts on alignment of approaches for project related work.

Implements KRIs for the HR Shared Service team to enable tracking of team performance and address any areas for improvement.

Work closely with the HRIS team on a day to day basis and oversee semi-annual upgrades to the HRIS system (from Success Factors).

Build trusted relationships with peer leadership teams and represents the HR brand positively.

Oversees team policies, practices and processes providing hands-on support to the employees and management of SMBC, including new hire on-boarding, Oracle HRIS interfaces/data management, HR data reporting/analytics, exit interview administration, M&A support, and other HR data-related services.

Directly manages the processes and procedures in compliance of the function's Policy and Procedures Manual (PPM); ensures that the function's PPM is kept current on no less than an annual basis

Qualifications:
10+ years work experience in HR Operations / Shared Services model with 5+ years of leadership.

Experience in the set up of a HR Shared Services model

Applies broad and deep knowledge of HR technology platforms/applications, payroll systems, project management protocols, budgeting/accounting practices and strategic planning methodologies

As a senior leader within HR, retains expert-level knowledge for matters relating to core HR programs, as well as working knowledge of the instruments, plans, policies and practices that deliver those experiences to the Bank's employees. Remains aware of emerging new practices, regulations, technologies and changing demographic demands that will shape the future expectations of the bank's talent

Broad and deep knowledge of core HR processes/principles/practices, all applicable legal, regulatory and policy oversights, HR technologies, and overall solid business acumen is required.
