Description:
Governance around the support of remediation of regulatory findings:
- There has been heightened scrutiny governance, enhanced governance put into place
- Support findings from the following: Americas Regulatory Review and Challenge Committee i.e. the Reg RCC (this is a new group formed), the Federal Reserve, FINRA, SEC, the NY Department of Finance, CCAR Committee, etc.
Requirements:
- Project Management
- Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Transformation
- Risk, Controls and/or Audit experience
- Governance committee experience
- Regulatory experience would be helpful
- Banking would be very helpful (i.e. knowledge of this highly regulated industry)
Years' of experience:
3 to 5 years' is the minimum; 5 to 7 years' is ideal
Responsibilities:
- Role supports these committees, frameworks, engagement and structure in order to gain remediation
- Work with QA review team
- Horizontal review by collaborating with various business units across the bank i.e. Trading group, Risk, Compliance, Senior Level Management, etc.
- Monthly meetings
- Multitask: managing different work streams and pivoting
Overview of business area or project:
CEO Organization: Regulatory Risk Remediation and CCAR Program Analyst
As a member of the team you will be a key contributor to some of the most critical and challenging programs in the bank with unique exposure to members of the Front Office, Risk Management, Finance as well as Senior Management.
The Regulatory Quality Assurance and CCAR Review and Challenge Team leads two important programs of work. The first involves supporting the CUSO CIB Regulatory Review and Challenge Committee (Reg RCC) which was recently created in July 2021 as part of the firm's enhanced governance and management oversight. The team supports the Reg RCC and performs Quality Assurance reviews by working in collaboration with remediation owners to identify issues prior to the submission to the various regulatory agencies. The Analyst role will support the team in assisting with managing the monthly Regulatory Review & Challenge Committee meeting process. This includes working with Regulatory Affairs on the monthly pipeline and coordinating meeting materials, attending Committee meetings, etc.
In addition, the Team supports the Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) Review and Challenge Committee which challenges tha Bank's annual capital adequacy submission to the Federal Reserve in April. While this program is fairly mature, the Analyst will coordinate the meetings and attend the CCAR review and challenge sessions with the Front Office, Risk and Finance units and track and monitor follow-up actions.
Key Responsibilities:
The role will report to the Director and includes the following activities:
• Be the project lead for multiple streams of work
• Provide administrative support for the successful execution of CUSO CIB Regulatory Review & Challenge Committee and CCAR Review & Challenge Committee meetings
• Attend and coordinate Committee meetings, prepare minutes and track follow-up actions
• Support project plan, manage issues pipeline and Committee SharePoint site
• Liaise with Regulatory Affairs, the CCAR Central Team and others as key partners in the process
Challenges contractor will be facing in role:
• Tight monthly timeframes to meet committee meeting deadlines for materials issuance
• Familiarity with the Bank's systems
Overview of department/team:
• Core team of 1 Managing Director, 2 Directors and 1 VP
• Team reports into the Bank's USA Chief Operations Officer and Head of the NY Branch
Essential skills and qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Project Management
• High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project) and SharePoint. Including experience in creating, enhancing and maintaining SharePoint sites
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced and fluid environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization
• Can work with minimal supervision; takes action and initiative
• Possess intellectual curiosity and is not afraid to probe and challenge
• Strong organizational and writing skills
• Works well on small team sharing information to drive collaborative approach
Desired skills and qualifications:
• Risk, Control, Audit or other remediation-type experience
• Background in trading, investment management given the nature of the Banks business
