Job description

Overview: The HR Recruiter works toward filling Care Design NYs recruiting needs for multiple locations throughout New York State. The HR Recruiter is responsible for the recruiting, interviewing, and screening of candidates for all positions within the organization.

It is critical that the HR Recruiter understand and incorporate into their approach to their work the following driving forces behind Care Design New Yorks organizational culture :

This position is primarily a "work from home" position. Occassional travel to a CDNY office may be required.
Responsibilities:
  • Partnering with hiring managers and HR Managers to determine staffing needs
  • Sourcing candidates and screening resumes
  • Using social media to promote job opportunities and attract candidates
  • Promot ing candidate referrals via current employee base
  • Performing in-person and phone interviews with candidates
  • Administering appropriate organizational and skills assessments
  • Requesting employment, reference and background checks
  • Making recommendations to hiring managers
  • Coordinating interviews with the hiring m anagers
  • Following up on the interview process status
  • Maintaining relationships with both internal and external clients to ensure staffing goals are achieved
  • Communicating employer information and benefits during screening process
  • Making changes to advertising postings based on new recruiting needs or recently filled positions
  • Attending and sponsoring job fairs, open interview sessions and other public events that are for recruiting purposes
  • Making connections with colleges and universities to promote job opportunities
  • Staying current on the companys organization structure, personnel policy, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices
  • Serving as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations
  • Completing timely reports on employment activity
Qualifications: Applicants must have:
  • A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college ; BS in Business or related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years recruiting experience
Applicants who will be given special consideration are:
  • Those with experience in the field of developmental disabilities
  • Those with a human resources or recruiting certification
