DescriptionAbout this role. About this role. BlackRock's US Wealth Advisory business is responsible for the distribution of active and index asset management products through intermediaries as well as sub advisory relationships. The US Wealth Advisory National Accounts team manages BlackRock's relationships with key retail distributors including Wirehouses, regionals, independents, banks, turn key asset management providers, RIA service agents and aggregators. The team encompasses multiple Senior Relationship Managers and a similar number of Relationship Management Associates & Analysts. National Accounts partners closely with BlackRock's active and iShares Due Diligence teams. Role Description: The Relationship Manager Associate (RMA) will be responsible for building BlackRock's business and deepening cross-firm relationships within the client base of the RIA, Direct, Fintech, and Wealth-Tech firms. This role will report to the Head of RIA National Accounts and will require frequent communication and teamwork with the broader USWA Senior Relationship Managers and Relationships Management Associates. The RMA will be accountable for developing and implementing high impact strategic business development initiatives across the RIA, Direct and Wealth-Tech channel. This individual must be excellent at partnering across the organization in order to deliver the full breadth of products and investment solutions that BlackRock has to offer. Primary Responsibilities: Drive home office partnership opportunities within the client base of the RIA, Direct, and Wealth-Tech National Accounts team. Work closely with the Senior Relationship Manager and Relationship Management Associates on designated accounts (Custodians, TAMPs, Aggregators, Technology platforms, etc.). Meet or exceed net new business targets. Cultivate BlackRock relationships with home office and BlackRock field and marketing teams. Maintain an in depth understanding of the clients' corporate agenda, initiatives and goals. Synthesize and communicate client insights and market intelligence. Effectively manage a sponsorship budget and measure ROI. Partner closely with the sales teams; align with field initiatives and be responsive to field inquiries. Drive information/data gathering and composition of internal senior management briefing documents. Travel frequently for client meetings and sponsored events. Skills: Collegial team player able to form strong relationships within team and across groups at BlackRock. Superior problem solving and analytical skills; a creative thought leader l Knowledge of ETFs, mutual funds, and separate accounts. High energy, flexible, motivated individual with a commitment to excellence. Ability to represent BlackRock in a professional manner. Exceptional oral and written communication skills. Requirements: This role is Associate and Vice President eligible. This role could be based in NYC or Princeton, NJ (preference). 1-4 years of industry experience required; relationship management, sales experience and/or strategic business development experience preferred. BA/BS degree required. NASD series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses preferred. Clean compliance record required with no prior contractual restrictions regarding distribution of investment products.
