Aon is looking for a SVP, Health& Benefits Consulting, Private Equity Clients

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Health and Benefits Consulting business group within Aon, in our Great New York Region (CT, NY, NJ)

The Health & Benefits Private Equity Hub Leader will be a key contributor and part of a fast-growing Health and Benefits practice. This position will be responsible for working with PE clients during pre-acquisition due diligence, carve outs, Broker of Record conversion, ongoing execution and overall relationship management. This individual will be working alongside producers and ongoing Health Solutions colleagues as the subject matter expert in Health Solutions during M&A transactions and in management of ongoing portfolio companies that are converted into consulting/broking engagements.

The role involves the management of all aspects of leadership and governance around the team executing on pre and post-deal M&A activities for Private Equity Clients, along with ongoing health and benefits client work. This position will have frequent interactions with Private Equity contacts and portfolio company client contacts such as the client Human Resource/Benefit Director for the delivery of benefits consulting services.

Job Responsibilities:

Work closely with local/regional leadership and other regional PE Hub Leaders to develop and execute on GNY regional PE Hub goals and objectives

Build strong relationships with producers and account executives who have Private Equity clients and books of business within GNY region and other main PE locations across the US

Work closely with producers as main point of contact for all Private Equity health & benefits deal flow and relationship with PE deal contacts in high pace environment

Grow the private equity and client relationship through excellent service and expanding the types of services delivered to the client

Grow the ongoing service team to support the regional PE Hub Leader

Manage ongoing client relationship and internal consulting team

Perform advanced strategy and design consulting to include the following:

Provide client leadership focused on broader business objectives

Take ownership of outcomes

Delegate responsibilities effectively; coach and mentor team member

Build relationships with client across multiple levels of their organization

Understand clients' business, build relationships with Account Executives and team leads from other practices, particularly in administration, to drive to shared client objectives

Analyze scoping needs

Develop business plan and integrated work plan across practices

Exhibit leadership in business judgment in anticipating client/project needs and developing alternative solutions

Leads/facilitate complex client meetings to measurable results

Form effective teams, share client background and goals, measure results, share ideas, identify process improvements, provide timely and regular coaching and feedback to team members

Act as strategic resource for consultants

Exhibit thought leadership-understand and be able to articulate ideas to clients

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Required Experience:

Ten plus years Health and Benefits background

Five plus years in M&A / Private Equity, including due diligence, carve outs and standing up of benefits programs

Client facing experience at a consulting company, insurance company, brokerage or in the Health and Benefits discipline.

Team building skills

Business development experience including revenue growth from new clients and client penetration

Complex project management experience

Broad business knowledge/perspective

Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Exhibit thought leadership--understand and be able to articulate ideas to client

Education:

Bachelor's degree in relevant field
