Summary of the Role:
The ZO. Programming Director will develop and manage programming strategies, curation and corresponding relationships for ZO, Tishman Speyer's global tenant amenity platform. This individual will work alongside the ZO team, internal stakeholders, and in partnership with external parties. The ideal candidate is a resourceful and collaborative manager with exceptional communication skills and extensive experience overseeing events from concept through to activation, and adeptly managing client accounts while developing new business opportunities and creative relationships. This position will play an integral role in the expansion of ZO's curated program of events.
Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development & Implementation: Develop new programming strategy in line with distinct brand vision and execute across global portfolio. Strategy should include the ideation of culturally relevant and socially compelling events and content, as well as implementation guidelines for various global regions.
- Event Production & Project Management: Oversee production of tentpole events, client/artist/vendor communication, creative development and production of assets, budget and schedule management, onsite event responsibilities, post-event reconciliation.
- Marketing & PR Management: Work closely with the Marketing team and external PR agency to develop and execute programming and event marketing plans including on-site promotions, social media and website content. Organize and approve marketing collateral for programming initiatives, compile info from partners and support Marketing on collateral creation efforts, including invitations, newsletter, programs, digital content, etc.
- Relationship Development: Identify opportunities for development of programming relationships, including collaboration with current partners and exploration of potential sponsor opportunities. Always be developing a diverse and inclusive roster of contributors.
- Budget & KPI Management: Financial forecasting and invoicing, budget tracking and reconciliations. Develop KPIs and success metrics in accordance with overall strategy; oversee supporting collateral including creation and execution of proposals, contracts and deal templates.
- Regional Programming Oversight: Supervise ZO. staff in various global regions in their development and execution of onsite programming and events. Guide regional staff in calendar conception and local relationship development, and ensure adherence to global programming strategy, vision and execution standards.
- Represent ZO., Tishman Speyer and Programming & Partnerships team in client meetings and communication.
- Continually seek and develop processes to drive efficient, smart working style.
- Adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business grows and changes.
What we look for:
- 7-10 years of experience in cultural curation, contributing to best-in-class cultural, hospitality, lifestyle, and/or immersive experiences.
- A strong record of success in brand and audience development, specifically a history of building with new cultural/lifestyle or international brands.
- Deep knowledge of brand specific lifestyle programming and popular culture.
- Excellent written communication and copywriting skills with an editorial touch.
- An established network in thought leadership and creative industries is encouraged.
- A strong interest and extensive network in arts & culture is heavily desired.
- Must have a track record of applying innovative strategies and managing projects autonomously as well as part of a larger team.
- Comfortable interacting with senior level management and ability to manage up.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in the real estate industry is not required.
