POSITION SUMMARY

VEG seeks an experienced and passionate Head of Real Estate New Site Selection to oversee the framework and roadmap for the US market expansion of the company. This role will work in conjunction with the companys Director of Real Estate & Development to set national strategy for new hospital locations. This critical role leads and directs the regional site selection managers in analyzing new markets/sites, sourcing new hospital locations, zoning and land use, deal structuring, lease negotiation and overall strategy implementation. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide overall strategic direction and leadership to achieve companys growth objectives as it relates to new hospital locations
* Lead direct reports throughout the site selection & development process with weekly meetings
* Interact and manage brokers and other consultants in specified markets with direction from Director of Real Estate
* Participate in various market tours as needed (this role will involve travel!)
* Oversee managers preparation and negotiation of LOI terms
* Collaborate on lease negotiations (with managers and/or legal counsel) as needed
* Assist with effectively communicating and coordinating with landlord leasing representatives. This role with serve as an ambassador for the brand across the country
* Ensure due diligence (site visits, zoning, land use) is run and reported on for every site
* Oversee zoning and land use due diligence, in conjunction with the Director of Real Estate, ensuring manager has evaluated and understands timing, preparation of submittals, etc, as it related to the companys use
* Supervise deal tracking, periodic lease reporting, including critical date management, and pipeline status reporting

REQUIREMENTS/NEEDED SKILLS

* Extensive knowledge of the real estate sector with at 4+ years of a senior role in site selection, ideally for a retail company or similar firm
* Excellent judgment and are able to act decisively in situations requiring quick but thorough analysis and decision-making
* Effective problem solver who can lead a team
* Phone and email skills, ability to effectively communicate
* Strong technical skills (Word, Publisher, Excel, Power Point, Google Suite)
* Must be a self-starter who combines a high level of creativity/initiative
* Strong organizational skills and sense of urgency with attention to detail
* Desire & willingness to immerse yourself in VEG culture and learn to be a VEGgie!
* Excited to travel the country!
