Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is a rapidly growing, venture-backed veterinary emergency company with hospital locations across the USA. We are doubling our size every year and backed by world class investors (Sequoia Heritage, Fidelity, D1 Capital and Durable Capital). Our mission is helping people and their pets when they need it most. We currently have 26 open locations and are on track to have over 50 in the next 18 months.

POSITION SUMMARY

VEG seeks an experienced and passionate Vice President of Business Development. This is a partner role with equity. This role will work in conjunction with the company's Co-Founder & President to set national strategy for new VEG hospitals and innovations. You will oversee the company's real estate, design & construction teams and new hospital openings. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the new site development team to build new VEG hospitals
• Oversee the real estate, design and construction, and new site opening teams which collectively will total over 20 people
• Oversee the budgeting process for building new VEG hospitals - the largest expenditure at the company
• Coordinate across the executive team to ensure all on the same page re: building new hospitals and openings
• Develop world-class data and analytics behind our real estate and new openings
• Implement new strategy and priorities to enable VEG's growth in all relevant areas
• Participate in executive meetings to drive operational excellence across all of VEG's business

REQUIREMENTS/NEEDED SKILLS

• 5+ years of leadership experience with business development and real estate professionals
• 10+ years of knowledge of multi-site development, business development and real estate experience
• Excellent judgment and are able to act decisively in situations requiring quick but thorough analysis and decision-making
• Must be a self-starter who combines a high level of creativity/initiative
• Strong organizational skills and sense of urgency with attention to detail
• Desire & willingness to immerse yourself in VEG culture and learn to be a "VEGgie!"
• Excited to travel the country!
