Job description

Cassena Care is seeking a dynamic, hardworking, highly motivated individual to join our team of professionals as a Medicaid Coordinator in our finance department for multiple health care entities in the tri-state area .

Medicaid Coordinator Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

Financial Interview for the Medicaid application process
Obtaining signed authorization forms to facilitate obtaining financial documents pertaining to Medicaid applications
Filing Medicaid applications/Conversions
Follow up and correspondence with Local DSS
Filing fair hearing and attending if necessary
Enrollments in Mandatory MLTC plans
Educating family about NAMI payments
Apply representative payee as necessary
Collecting private payments as necessary
Meeting with residents/families to discuss their financial obligations
Review and work with families on Medicaid applications
Submit Medicaid applications
Other duties as required

Medicaid Coordinator Qualifications/Requirements:

Prior experience in a Nursing Home finance / Medicaid office
High comfort level to meet with residents/families to discuss and advise on their financial obligations
Must be computer literate, and proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Should be extremely detailed and organized
Must have 2 years experience compiling and submitting Medicaid applications on behalf of Long Term Care Facility
