Job Summary:
Join our Asheville team as a Senior Human Resources Representative in a unique opportunity to provide HR support and help integrate a newly acquired site into Ecolab. This site has been operational for over 25 years but is new to the Ecolab network.
Thriving on employee interaction, this person will maintain visibility on the floor and will drive consistent policy administration as well as recognition, retention, and staffing strategies throughout the facility. This role will work closely with the senior leadership team and Integration team to ensure the site is achieving the short and long-term site business goals and change management strategy.
Plant Information: This manufacturing facility is essential to our newly created Global Wipes Business. There are approximately 175 non-union employees across 3 shifts (24 hours) and a 5 days per week operation; located just outside Asheville in Swannanoa, NC.

What You Will Do:
- Fosters employee engagement through proactive employee relations and performance management.
- Coaches supervisors and managers for effective leadership, change management, standard progressive counseling, DE&I, and managing employee development issues.
- Supports and monitors appraisal and development plans. Coordinates talent review process for exempt Associates. Offers training and development for employee growth. Helps develop cross-training and rotation plans.
- Assists employees with inquiries and concerns. Acts as impartial advocate for fair and equitable treatment.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to coordinate, create, and drive strategies to source, attract, select, and fill open positions (including posting & conducting interviews).
- Partner with third party to fill temporary positions.
- Provide input to the Training Strategy and the development of specific training development plans.
- Build a culture of inclusion through supporting the Purpose, Vision, and Values.
- Support internal communication strategy with consistent and effective employee communication
- Manages Short Term Disability and FMLA programs partnering with the corporate Disability Manager.
- Partners with other members of Plant Leadership Team to support training and development for hourly associates.
- Ensures compliance with State and Federal law, corporate guidelines, and Plant practices. Conducts initial new hire orientation, facilitates training for Plant on HR-related topics.
- Engage with company Center of Excellence to deliver centrally developed initiatives and training to include Staffing, Compensation and Benefits, HRIS, Employee Development, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or related field
- 5+ years of human resources experience.
- May have an advanced degree in Industrial Relations or Business and fewer than two years of experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or Business
- 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or distribution center
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects & manage competing demands
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Demonstrated change management experience
- Demonstrated experience delivering outcomes with influence without authority
- Proven ability to work within a matrixed environment
- Strong talent development and team building skills
- Strong relationship building, verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using Workday
