**Kelly Services** is seeking a Civil Engineer II to join a Leading Telecommunications Company's engineering team. The Engineering team is responsible for maintaining the safety and longevity of our land surrounding assets. This is a direct hire opportunity in the Raleigh/Durham area.
**Job Description:**
Day to day you will prepare and review zoning and construction plans on tower assets from low-to-intermediate complexity. As a Civil Engineer II you will partner cross-functionally to provide quality control review for civil services supporting our assets. + Familiar with AutoCAD with a basic understand of national and internal CAD standards.
+ Prepare construction drawings associated with new sites and collocation/amendment activities.
+ Create unique detailing and design for basic projects consisting of steel design, electrical and civil engineering.
+ Perform detailed QA/QC of customer collocations, amendments, and operations drawings.
+ Prepare designs for compound and complex road repairs, stream crossings and drainage solutions in advanced complexity using AutoCAD to create alignments, corridors, assembly, profiles and surfaces in Civil 3D.
+ Evaluate site conditions through geotechnical reports and surveys; coordinate and attend site walks for complex repairs.
+ The incumbent evaluates storm water flow patterns and evaluates runoff scenarios for drainage design and prepares related reports and drawings for municipal approval and construction.
+ Mentor Engineers and helps develop standard engineering operating procedures and team performance reporting.
**Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field required. (Master s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field preferred.)
+ Minimum 2 years telecommunications industry experience or minimum of 4 years of construction, land development, civil engineering, or A E experience required.
+ Engineer in training or Engineering Intern certification preferred. (Professional Engineer License preferred.)
+ Active member of professional organization or technical society preferred.
+ Approximately 5% travel may be required in support of the position's responsibilities.
+ Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
+ Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to achieve results effectively and professionally.
+ Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
