Role Value Proposition:
We are looking for accomplished Business System Analyst who is passionate about creating business impact using a vast array of machine learning and statistical techniques, across different functions. This portfolio of work will deliver data driven decisions across all critical business functions such as customer engagement, distribution, underwriting, claims operations, risk management, products and tackle hard, open-ended problems. BSA is a critical role and act as a backbone to an analytics life cycle, responsible for Requirement gathering and solutioning. The role requires a BSA enthusiast with strong analytical expertise, very strong in SQL and Big Data technologies to design approaches and build analytical solutions across various use cases. Experience in Insurance domain and analytical background will be a major plus. The person will also mentor BSAs and Associate BSAs and review their work.

Key Responsibilities:
Elicit, document and manage functional requirements. Act as a primary liaison between business users and the system development/quality assurance project team. Manage user expectations, changes to requirements and project scope. Reviews, analyzes, and modifies large scale system projects. Maintains records to document program development and revision. Lead the development for varied projects. Responsible for prioritizing problems, incidents, and service requests, may lead or manage process. Identifies and implements operating efficiency solutions for specific domains, may lead teams of various sizes.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required

  • 5+ years working on ETL processes and DataLake using BigData ecosystems.
  • BA/BS in Comp Science/IS.
  • Strong background on writing SQLs and using other data exploratory tools.
  • Extensive application design/architecture.
  • Experience in writing validation scripts to validate the data, data integrations and ETL transformations.

  • Extensive knowledge of application systems.
  • Extensive problem solving.
  • Strong relationship management.
  • Extensive analytical thinking.
