Empowered Platform Architect

The Platform Architect is responsible for design, development and enhancement of new software or extensive software revisions for our SAAS platform. The Platform Architect will define product requirements and create high-level architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality and integration with existing systems/platforms. Primary responsibilities

• Work with business and product development team to understand the business needs. Provide solutions for business needs which fit into the company's architectural vision.
• Define and maintain the architectural vision for the platform working alongside the architecture and delivery teams
• Develop, maintain and enhance architecture diagrams and platform artifacts for key business flows
• Own end to end component view of business functionality
• Lead technical teams in design, development, testing and deployment of key capabilities for the platform
• Oversee technical design for key projects. Ensure development is performed under the guidance of the architecture team so that the implemented design fits into the company's architectural vision.
• Guide software development teams to ensure integrity of design. Review implementation. Review data and information design.
• Provide subject matter expertise in the detailed design of application, data and information across both current and future products. Provide technical mentorship to the software development teams as required.
• Work with delivery teams in ensuring proper architectural methodologies are adhered and the software design meets the future needs of the organization
• Adopt and implement agile software development methodologies and DevOps delivery models
• Work with onshore and offshore team members as necessary
• Work with the platform sustainability team to understand operational issues with the platform and incorporate those learnings in the future design and architecture of the platform
• Evolve the software as new technologies and practices emerge. Search for new or improved applications and technologies which can be used to improve the end-to-end process. Seek and benchmark our processes against external best practices.

• 10 or more years of programming and architecture experience
• 5 or more years database experience
• Working knowledge of front-end technologies
