Inside Sales Assistant

Assists the sales team with generation of profitable sales and on-time deliveries.
Provides timely and accurate information to customers regarding order status and product information requests.
Generates reports to Purchasing, Accounting and Quality Departments.
Reviews sales orders for accuracy.
Generates all inventory reports as required.
Processes customer orders/changes/returns according to established department policies and procedures.
Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
Manages incoming calls and customer service inquires.
Identifies and assesses customers' needs to achieve satisfaction.
Maintains customer accounts, implements changes to existing accounts.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing relates results as needed.
Regular and predictable attendance is required to perform the duties of the customer service representative.
Adheres to Reliance Steel and Aluminum's Code of Conduct as well as customer confidentiality requirements.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Graduate or Equivalent
Experience in customer service, sales, marketing
Ability to communicate oral & written effectively with both internal & external customers.
Ability to interface effectively with all departments to foster a success-oriented, deadline driven organization.
Ability to respond effectively to time sensitive and problematic & precarious inquiries and complaints.
Ability to demonstrate professionalism & diplomacy to include telephone etiquette.
Good analytical & organizational skills, able to make sound decisions utilizing the data on hand.
Ability to adhere to standard office practices and procedures to include filing, customer service, attention to detail, organizational management and time management.
