Overview of business area / department / team:
Group CDO (Chief Data Office) is a high-performing team with a diverse mix of talented people distributed geographically across New York, Raleigh, Zurich and London. Group CDO is organized as a team of specialists in a relatively flat hierarchy structure, where each member of the team is expected to produce high quality content whilst collaborating with colleagues to achieve the common goal of driving data strategy and providing oversight of data management plans across the whole of the Bank's Group.
Data Quality & Control team:
This individual will work within Group CDO Data Quality & Control. The candidate will be responsible for supporting and partnering with the 13 Divisional and Functional CDO areas to achieve the Data Quality and Control objectives. As part of Group CDO 2nd Line of Defense, this individual will be responsible performing exception based analysis, conducting monthly review meeting with the Divisional and Functional CDO areas, and documenting the reviews. The individual will also be responsible for preparing and presenting materials in the Issue Management Working Group as applicable, documenting the minutes and ensuring actions are followed up. The candidate will bring excellent communication skills, attention to detail and ability to partner with a diverse range of audience across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with the Divisional and Functional CDO teams to achieve the Data Quality and Control objectives
• Perform monthly 2nd Line of Defense reviews
• Provide the monthly MICOS/MyIncident issues raised against Data to the Issue Management Working Group members
• Lead monthly review meetings with the 13 Divisional and Functional CDOs to drive progress on Issue Resolution, Issue Management Exceptions, MICOS/MyIncident reviews, etc.
• Conduct exception based analysis, focusing on issues resolution and the slippage of issue resolution dates
• Prepare and circulate the weekly Matters for Attention report and review the DQIM Completeness and Accuracy Report
• Prepare and present materials in the Issue Management Working Group as applicable
• Prepare Issue Management Working Group minutes and ensure actions are completed
• Conduct UAT/Regression testing across the Enterprise Data Tooling as needed
Key elements of the role will include:
• Proven ability as a self-starter and team player.
• Proven ability to provide direction and drive progress across groups, particularly to drive consensus of direction from different groups with differing priorities.
• Proven track record working within a data related environment, particularly one involving and delivering change. Overall understanding of Data Management preferred.
• Experience in implementing oversight or exception management type processes.
• Excellent written; presentation and document writing and verbal communication skills. Comfort in chairing meetings with multiple groups and representing CDO.
• Detail oriented; Analytical with problem solving abilities.
• Professional and energetic.
• Comfortable working in a fast paced environment under tight timeframes.
Challenges contractor will be facing in role:
• Identifying and removing roadblocks to achieve objectives, as well as negotiating skillfully to convince and obtain agreement.
