Certara is hiring a Senior Financial Analyst to support our Software division! This position can be based in our Raleigh, NC Certara office or full time remote.

Job Overview:

The Sr. Financial Analyst reports operating metrics and financial results to the Software business unit leadership team. The Sr. Financial Analyst will collaborate with members of Software Business Unit, as well as members of Certara's Corporate Finance team, to ensure the accurate reporting of Software's business performance at weekly, monthly and quarterly intervals. At the discretion of Software Director, Finance, the Sr. Financial Analyst will assist in the development of revenue projections, cost-savings initiatives, and process improvements to automate financial reporting and analyses. The Sr. Financial Analyst will maintain all financial support for product segments as assigned by Software Director, Finance.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly dashboards, operating metrics and other materials for the Software business unit Leadership Team, Certara Corporate Finance, and other stakeholders
• Interface with functional leaders to support accurate financial reporting.
• Support the financial responsibilities of software capitalization reporting and analysis
• Build and automate reports that collect and connect data from multiple business systems
• Identifies, researches and reports on the causes for fluctuations outside of anticipated parameters.
• Support strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
• Perform ad hoc analyses, and work with other business units on corporate initiatives, as required and ability to make recommendations for improvements to supporting function
• Perform modeling in support of business valuations related to M&A
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Education, Experience, Training, and Knowledge:

• Professional experience preparing analyses and reports for a senior management audience
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
• 4+ years of relevant financial planning experience
• M&A financial modeling
• High level of proficiency with Excel required
• Experience with Jira, SharePoint and/or Microsoft Teams preferred
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, and/or R preferred

Skills & Abilities:

• Interest in producing a wide range of analyses and reports in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail and problem-solving orientation
• Comfort working in a position with high level of visibility to management
• Availability to work extended hours when need arises
