Thank you for viewing our posting, we are an independent insurance agency located in North Raleigh. We are looking for an outgoing, driven human who is either ready for a change in their current insurance career, or hoping to venture into a new one!! Our agency is a growing one, and is looking for a super star to knock customer relations out of the park! We are excited to specialize in most types of insurance. Because of our agents' experience and knowledge, this position is ideal for someone wanting to learn a new trade. We use modern outbound sales marketing techniques and agency management technology to consistently produce new business. As we continue to grow, this position is open to allowing for your personal and professional development, whether it be in sales or management. Below are some of the things you would learn and be responsible for as you make your way through landmarks in your training.

Responsibilities

  • Answer customer calls and correspondence regarding new or existing insurance policies.
  • Work with prospects to pre-qualify and understand their needs by gathering necessary data, researching policy options, presenting options, and binding new coverage. Maintain accounts.
  • Work with our agents to set appointments and/or client calls to review existing policies, revise liability limits, explore other coverage needs, evaluate replacement costs, round out accounts, and bind renewals.
  • Confer with customers to provide detailed information about products and services, quote new business, process renewals and/or cancel accounts, take payments, and provide requested documentation.
  • Actively seek opportunities to discuss policy additions in all customer communication.
  • Resolve product or service issues by clarifying the customer's concern, determining the cause of the issue, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the issue, expediting correction or adjustment, following up to ensure resolution.
  • Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system.
  • Review audits or policies; verify accuracy and facilitate corrections, as needed, between client and carrier.
  • Keep informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance as well as collaboration with team members, mentor staff, and participate in meetings as needed.

Qualifications

  • Current P&C Insurance License and prior experience is preferred but not required.
  • Build a strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and write assigned clients and prospects.
  • Demonstrate strong customer focus and an excellent phone manner; display strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have the ability and tact to handle difficult customer phone calls and solve problems without direct supervision.
  • Have a strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Technology and Computer proficiency including agency management systems.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
