Job Summary:

The Lab Technician will work daily within Aldevron's labs performing tasks associated with Aldevron's GMP services. The Lab Technician is expected to become familiar with all of Aldevron's products and to be able to perform most tasks associated with the purification of plasmid DNA.

Responsibilities:

* Detailed, thorough cleaning, line clearance, and segregation of GMP production areas and associated equipment while wearing appropriate gowning
* Assist with training of Lab Technician II personnel or performing Lab Technician II responsibilities as needed
* Assist in completing component list compilation as needed
* Assist in writing and completing Standard Operating Procedures and forms related to job tasks
* Initiate and complete deviation forms and Corrective Action documentation
* Organize and plan Solution Preparation area
* Participate and support of Aldevron's internal audit program by providing requested information and responding to findings presented in the audit report
* Perform end of shift technical peer review of buffer preparation records for accuracy and compliance with procedures
* Assist with fermentation vessel preparation activities (cleaning and assembly)
* Assist with chromatography column preparation activities (cleaning and column resin preparation and packing)
* Complete all documentation associated with the tasks listed

Qualifications:

* 1-2 years of related experience in a laboratory setting preferred
* B.S. degree in Physics, Math, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Animal Science, Biochemistry, Biology preferred
* Ability to apply basic math (arithmetic, ratios, proportions, and conversations)
