Job Summary
The Business Analyst will partner directly with the CAI US&CA leaders to compile and analyze data from multiple tools in support of actions to drive improvement across the business platforms. This role will be responsible for understanding how raw data from the various commercial and operations systems should be extracted to accurately capture and format the information to aid in analysis and decision making at multiple levels of the organization.
A keen sense of how to turn data into Information and actions, with the ability to work through the ambiguity of the data in identifying trends and to turn large amounts of data into information easily understandable by the team members will be critical for success in this role. This role incumbent will directly report into the Engineering and Lean Six Sigma Director but will have exposure and interaction across all functions providing the opportunity additional professional and personal learning opportunities.
Essential Functions
* Streamline report development across businesses and multiple data sources to increase speed of development and data integrity of information
* Analyzing data as directed in these areas:
* daily order income and funnel trends to identify and visualize impact of external factors by industry
* Sales and customer data to identify candidate actionable leads for the commercial organization
* Operations related data such as, run rates, yield, setup times and information to support continuous improvement activities
* Supply Chain data to support, FG and RM lead time validating and raw material supply strategy
* Innovation pipeline utilizing the system to track key projects and support strategic planning along with the production impact, location assessment for where to produce based on equipment in the network, etc.
* Automation of processes to estimate impact of raw material cost fluctuations onto finished goods in order to increase speed and accuracy
* Identify and investigate data which does not make sense to determine root cause of any discrepancies or issues and address future approach
* Automation of reports and processes to support productivity improvement actions within Plant operations and the Supply Chain
* Consistently communicates to leaders with the demonstrated ability to influence at various levels of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience
* Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Data Analytics or equivalent
* At least 1-3 years of experience on market trend analysis, change management,
* This position also requires a thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations and safety / environmental procedures, preferably in a chemical operation
Additional Qualifications
* Strong analytics and research skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with minimal direction
* Excellent computer skills necessary. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM tools required. Knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse a plus.
* Strong interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and influence at various levels of the organization.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Process improvement and operational excellence mindset required
